EU mobile phone users will be able to "roam like home" from Friday, meaning they can use their phone and data allowances anywhere within the EU without roaming charges. However many sites, including
the BBC, are reminding British consumers that they should check their contract -- because if they go beyond their tariff limits they will still be charged as if making additional calls from the UK.
