Interpublic’s MullenLowe Mediahub unit has been named the media agency-of-record for PODS Enterprises, the Clearwater, Florida-based marketer of storage and moving services that drop-off and pick up free-standing containers for consumers to pack and transport their possessions.
The win follows a competitive review, but it was not clear at press time what other shops contended and the name of the incumbent agency.
PODS considers itself a “disruptor” brand that is shaking up the moving and storage industry. It said it selected Mediahub for its “nimble challenger brand approach, using data analytics to drive results with smarter digital media strategies.”
Among other things, PODS is seeking to leverage data to target consumers and generate awareness, consideration, conversion and long-term relationship management.
“We selected Mediahub based on its holistic and transparent approach to media, combined with a strong analytical mind-set,” stated Eileen Rinkus, director of marketing communications at PODS.
“PODS is an amazingly innovative company -- it pioneered portable moving and storage and has become the dominant player in that category,” said Sean Corcoran, executive director, Americas, at MullenLowe Mediahub.
“Their agency review process was very much reflective of the way they run their business, with precision and serious attention to detail,” noted Corcoran.
