Forcepoint Adds Cloud-Based Analytics To Its Cyber Security Services

Forcepoint, a provider of cyber security tools, has added behavior-driven controls to its cloud-based system.

The new capabilities enable firms to assess the risks of file sharing and to protect data not stored on a corporate network, the company says.

The service, Forcepoint CASB, analyzes user behavior and characteristics such as the data, device and location being assessed.

In addition to these cloud-based analytics, the company is providing a user-risk dashboard, which reports employee behavior and assess the impact of the user’s permission within the organization

Forcepoint has enhanced these offerings with new web security, cloud migration and malware detection tools. The latter is powered by Lastline, and can be used in both on-premises and in Forcepoint’s cloud-based web security and email platforms.

"Approaching security through a human-centric lens helps organizations better understand indicators of normal cyber behavior and quickly identify activity and operations, such as shadow IT, that pose the biggest risk," states Kris Lamb, vice president and general manager of Forcepoint’s cloud security business.
