Journalists, financial firms and anti-doping bodies are among a select few job roles which are likely to be exempted from strict new laws regarding the use of personal date. The
BBC reports
the new Data Protection Act, published on Thursday, will replace existing law and build the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in to UK law so it can be retained after Brexit.
