Publicis Shows Some Digital Spine, Puts Donohue In Charge Of It

Publicis Groupe has once again restructured its digital operations, naming long-time Starcom exec Lisa Donohue CEO of Publicis Spine, a new umbrella unit that “fuses” all its data, technology and talent into a new offering focused on “marketing transformation and digital business transformation.”

The company said the new structure also “aligns” digital agency DigitasLBi with Publicis Media, which apparently means placing it under the helm of Publicis Media CEO Steve King, to whom new DigitasLBi Global President Michael Kahn will report.

As part of the restructuring, Publicis also reorganized its “digital business transformation assets within Publicis.Sapient into industry practice verticals” and named former DigitasLBi chief Nigel Vaz its lead.

In her new role at Publicis Spine, Donohue will report to Publicis Groupe Chairman-CEO Arthur Sadoun and Publicis Media’s King.

John Sheehy succeeds Donohue as Starcom global brand president, from president of global clients at Publicis Media.
