Full-service shop Sandbox acquired Orange County-based digital marketing agency ymarketing to expand the Chicago-based agency's presence on the West Coast and add to its media, analytics and customer relationship management (CRM) offerings.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2002 by CEO Ryan Lash, the 70-person ymarketing focuses on data visualization and analytics with a roster of clients that includes Yamaha and Hair Club.

Under the agreement, founder Lash will now report to Joe Kuchta, Chief Client Officer, Sandbox. Ymarketing will no longer operate under its own name and will rebrand as a Sandbox unit.

However, Ymarketing will continue its full operation in its current space in Orange County, California.

In addition to its Chicago headquarters, Sandbox has offices in New York, Chicago, Toronto, Kansas City and Los Angeles
