Dentsu Aegis-owned B2B marketing agency gryo UK has promoted managing director Kate Howe to CEO and made several additional moves to bulk up the shop’s senior management team.
As managing director Howe was credited for her “pivotal role” in integrating gyro within Dentsu Aegis Network after the latter acquired the agency in July 2016.
Succeeding Howe in the managing director role is Beth Freedman, a 20-year-plus industry veteran who joins from Saatchi & Saatchi Pro. She will oversee overall client relationships and the agency’s day-to-day operations.
Also, Ian Bell has been hired as chief strategy officer. He’ll lead the 12-strong strategy team across gyro UK, help gyro leverage the wider network’s array of skills and capabilities and identify strategic solutions for new and existing clients. Bell joins from sibling agency Carat.
And the agency’s executive creative director David Harris has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer of gyro UK in recognition of his top-notch work since joining gyro in June 2015.
