Cheetos Popcorn will
make its debut in movie theaters in time for the holiday movie premieres rush.
The snack — a mix of Cheetos-flavored popcorn and Crunchy Cheetos
— will be sold in 32-ounce cups starting Dec. 15 at participating Regal Cinemas, which has 7,315 screens in 561 theaters across the country.
For the past two years, the snack has been available only at ballparks.
The Regal deal is the first national theater partnership for Cheetos, but
it’s one more in a string of innovative new revenue- and loyalty-building ventures for the Frito-Lay brand.
Last year, Cheetos partnered with Burger King to launch Mac
N’ Cheetos, which returned for a second year at BK and has also been launched as a frozen packaged goods item in food stores nationwide.
