Softbank Partners To Advance IoT Imaging

Softbank is extending its reach into the Internet of Things.

The Japanese conglomerate is partnering with Vayyar Imaging to collaborate starting with the Japanese market.

Vayyar Imaging uses radio wave 3D imaging, technology that can see through almost any object or material. The companies plan to develop applications combining Softbank’s artificial intelligence technology with Vayyar;s sensor technology.

“Vayyar is the global leader of radio wave 3D imaging, and we are excited to be their channel priority partner for the Japanese market,” stated Hironobu Tamba, vice president of Softbank’s Smart IoT division. “We see great synergy between their sensor technology and the needs of our customers.”

“A partnership between SoftBank and Vayyar means that we will be collaborating our sensor technology with their AI technology to create cutting-edge innovations,” stated Raviv Melamed, co-founder and CEO of Vayyar,

The venture will include working on collecting and analyzing big data, according to a company statement.
