Wavemaker, the GroupM media agency formed last year, has hired a Publicis Media veteran--Oleg Korenfeld--to manage its various tech platforms. Sensibly enough, his title is Chief Platforms
Officer.
Korenfeld will develop and deploy Wavemaker’s platforms suite globally. He will work with GroupM’s global platforms team and key clients to connect Wavemaker’s data
and products to [m]Platform. That, in turn, is designed to convert audiences
on billions of screens globally into purchasers.
He joins Wavemaker from Spark Foundry, where he oversaw all advertising technology and platforms, as well as serving as one of the global
programmatic, data, technology and innovation leads across Publicis Media Group.
Previously, Korenfeld held strategic and operational positions at ad-tech firms, including DoubleClick, Right
Media and Jumptap, as well as publishers like Thrillist and Hachette Filipacchi Media/Hearst.
Based in New York, he will report to Wavemaker’s global Chief Product Officer,
Matthias Bruell.
