R/GA, part of Interpublic, has promoted Richard Ting to executive vice president, global chief design officer. With this appointment, R/GA said it is unifying all design disciplines under one
umbrella with the goal of fostering greater integration.
Ting will also be responsible for growing and evolving R/GA’s data and AI-driven design capabilities while continuing in
his role as a partner for R/GA Ventures.
“For this new role, we needed someone that would not only re-shape, develop, and train our design teams, but also create a new vision for
design at R/GA,” stated agency founder and CEO Bob Greenberg, to whom Ting reports. “Richard has worked on some of our most iconic work and has built some of our most innovative teams and
capabilities – I could not think of a better person to lead us forward in this area.”
Ting is an 11-year veteran of the agency and will continue to serve as executive
creative director for the agency’s Nike account.
