Old Navy Offers Designer-Inspired Pieces

Old Navy is partnering with luxury designer Joseph Altuzarra for a collection that brings specialty American design to everyday style.

It’s the third installment of Old Navy's American designer collaborations, following partnerships with Anna Sui and Christopher John Rogers.

“With iconic American fashion designer Zac Posen at the helm since 2024, it’s obvious Old Navy is having a major moment. And it’s only getting bigger,” according to Cosmopolitan.

The capsule also introduces coordinating styles for girls and toddlers, making Altuzarra’s design perspective available for the whole family, a first for Old Navy’s designer collaboration program.

“Treating it ‘like capital F fashion,’ Altuzarra reveals he approached the Old Navy partnership the same way as his eponymous ready-to-wear label,” according to Who What Wear. “Old Navy x Altuzarra blends the theatrical storytelling of Altuzarra's collections with Old Navy's heritage, transporting you to the rolling hills of Scotland and weaving Victorian literary references into a thoughtful fall wardrobe of velvet floral dresses, Fair Isle sweaters, and embroidered barn jackets."

In keeping with the literary theme, the tag of each item does double duty as a bookmark.

“It's romantic, it's feminine, it's a real wardrobe,” the designer shares with Vogue. “There's a real kind of feeling of romanticism and melancholy,” he adds.

The collaboration looks “way more expensive than it is,” according to Page Six. The limited-edition collection spans outerwear, dresses, tanks, blouses, jeans, trousers and accessories priced from $25 to $140. “The NYC launch event — attended by the likes of Riley Keough, Alexa Chung and Cole Sprouse — was held at McNally Jackson Books’ Rockefeller Center store.”

One of Posen’s top priorities with the partnerships is highlighting American talent. “I thought the American industry needed it, and we have such incredible talent here,” Posen tells Fashionista.
