Apple Hires Guerra To Lead Latin American Video Efforts

Apple continues to beef up the executive team overseeing its nascent streaming video efforts. The latest hire is Angélica Guerra, who will be head of Latin American programming for worldwide video, the company announced Friday.

She will report to Morgan Wandell, head of international creative development for Apple.

Guerra joins Apple from Sony Pictures Television, where she led that studio's Latin American programming and production.

Apple has been building out its executive team and ordering programming at an aggressive pace over the past few months, though little is known about the company's streaming video plans.

Right now, the company streams a few shows on its Apple Music service, but it's not clear if some of the high-budget dramas and comedies it has ordered will also appear there, or will instead be available on a new platform.
