Havas, Dentsu Aegis Announce C-Level Appointments

Greg James, former chief strategy officer North America has been promoted to global chief strategy officer for Havas Group’s media business. He’s credited with helping the agency win a lot of new business for the US and with managing global campaigns for LVMH, Vodafone, Nintendo, Coca-Cola and Unilever.

James joined the Group following Cake’s acquisition by Havas in 2008 where he was a partner and head of content. He was promoted to become Cake Group’s U.S. Managing Director in 2010 and joined Havas Media in 2013 as CSO, North America.

In his new role James reports to Peter Mears, CEO Havas Group Media.

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Michael Russell chief growth officer for the U.S. region. Russell is now responsible for business development in the U.S. and will report to Nick Brien, CEO Americas.

Russell was previously the interim CMO at Edelman Financial and has more than 20 years of experience driving the new business and marketing agenda at agencies including iCrossing, Huge, MSLGROUP and MXM.
