
Longtime Nickelodeon
senior marketing executive Pamela Kaufman has been promoted to president of all Viacom consumer products business.
Her new role will be as president of Viacom/Nickelodeon Global Consumer
Products, overseeing all Viacom Media Networks, as well theatrical movie studio Paramount Pictures. Previously, she was president of consumer products/CMO for Nickelodeon.
Kaufman will report
to Cyma Zarghami, president of Nickelodeon, and David Lynn, president/CEO of Viacom International Media Networks.
Worldwide licensing and merchandising responsibilities for brands and
franchise properties will now include Nickelodeon’s “PAW Patrol,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “SpongeBob SquarePants,” as well as MTV’s
“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” Comedy Central’s “South Park,” and Paramount Pictures’” The Godfather” and “Grease.”

Over the
years, Kaufman has inked deals with worldwide retailers and licensing partners, including Mattel, Playmates and Activision, fashion designer Jeremy Scott and NBA Superstar Carmelo Anthony, and
retail companies including Macy’s, Walmart, Kmart, Target and Toys ‘R’ Us.
She also oversees the company’s partnership marketing efforts, working with major
advertisers such as General Mills and Toyota.
Before joining Nickelodeon as vice president, Nickelodeon Promotions Marketing, she worked at TBS as vice president, promotions.
In
January, Paramount Pictures named veteran marketing executive David Sameth as president of worldwide marketing. Sameth took over marketing duties from Megan Colligan, who
left in November 2017.
