Publicis Groupe is has appointed Raja Trad to the newly created role of chairman, Middle East to oversee all of the Groupe‘s operations in the region.
Trad will report to Loris Nold, CEO Publicis Groupe APAC and will be supported by the Solution hub leaders in the region: Alex Saber, chairman Publicis Media Middle East and Kareem Monem, regional managing director, Publicis.Sapient MENA.
Trad has been the CEO of Leo Burnett Group Middle East & North Africa since 2000. Earlier in his career, he spent time at Y&R working on the P&G account in Beirut and Athens before moving to Leo Burnett to manage Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait operations as well as work on the Philip Morris account, among other achievements.
MomentumWorldwide has hired James Robinson to the newly created role of executive creative director. Based in New York, he will be responsible for managing Momentum’s NY-based creative team, advancing the company’s creative culture across all 36 offices, and producing work for clients that include Verizon, American Express and SAP. He joins Momentum after previous roles as ECD at The Martin Agency and CCO at 215 McCann.
WPP’s Essence has appointed creative agency veteran Josh Mandel as senior vice president for Client Solutions, based out of the company’s office in Los Angeles.
In his new role, Mandel is tasked with identifying identify cross-portfolio strategies and solutions for clients. He’ll also manage the agency’s relationship with the entertainment, pop culture, and lifestyle powerhouse E!. At Essence, Mandel joins an account leadership team of industry leaders dedicated to serving NBCUniversal brands and will report to agency president Pam Sullivan, who oversees the company’s Los Angeles office and overall relationship with NBCUniversal.
He has previously served as managing director of both R/GA and 72andSunny’s Los Angeles offices and in strategy and planning leadership roles at Wieden + Kennedy and 180 Amsterdam.
