A Labour MP is calling for a clause to be added to a bill going through parliament that would require the social media giants to take down extremist material within 24 hours.
The Guardian
reports that Stephen Doughty sits on the Home Affairs Committee and believes the clause is required because a voluntary code of conduct is not working.
