Micro Focus has introduced a set of services that it claims can help companies protect their data and comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Micro Focus File Governance Suite enables firms to archive and recover vulnerable targets and establish policies that serve to clean up, move, archive or delete sensitive files in order to protect and quickly recover valuable content," states Joe Garber, global head of product marketing for information management and governance at Micro Focus.

He adds that this “reduces the compliance management burden for IT, giving teams more ability to reduce information risk and further drive the top line."

The suite also helps firms utilize analytics and be proactive, the company says.

The Micro Focus File Governance Suite includes Micro Focus File Dynamics, a network and file management system, and Micro Focus File Reporter, a network file system analysis tool.
