The sports streaming video service FuboTV has named Geir Magnusson Jr. chief technology officer. 

Magnusson will be tasked with doubling the size of the streaming service’s engineering team, and accelerating the company’s technology development. He will be based in New York, and will report to FuboTV CEO David Gandler.

Before joining FuboTV Magnusson was the co-founder of Sourcepoint Technologies and served as CTO of AppNexus.
