WPP's Wunderman is acquiring the Gorilla Group to expand its commerce division's footprint across North America.
The agency works with clients including American Hotel Register Company, Gates Industrial Corporation and protein manufacturer RXBAR to develop digital engagement solutions.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 370-person agency will tweak its branding to align with its new owner, Gorilla Group – A Wunderman Commerce Agency.
The firm will remain under the leadership of CEO Brian Grady, who now reports to Neil Stewart, Global CEO, Wunderman Commerce.
The two agencies became familiar with each other via common vendor partners, says Stewart. He added the acquisition will help both parties "grow into new clients and offerings."
