UM's Kasha Cacy Departs For Engine As Global CEO

Engine, FKA Engine Group, a UK-based mini holding company, has hired a big leaguer from IPG to run its global operation.

Kasha Cacy, who has been U.S. CEO for IPG’s media shop UM, has joined Engine as global CEO. The news was first reported by The Wall Street Journalearlier today.

Cacy worked for UM for over a decade and was named U.S. CEO in May of 2016.

Engine was acquired by Chicago-based Lake Capital in 2014.

Engine’s capabilities include market research and data analytics, advertising, strategy, branding, public relations, social and mobile, sponsorship, events, customer relationship management and specialized marketing. It also has digital media buying and execution capabilities.

The company serves a roster of clients in the consumer, financial services, information technology and telecommunications, healthcare and public services industries.

It has offices located in London, New York, Hollywood, Princeton, Cincinnati, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia 

Daryl Lee, UM’s global CEO stated: “Kasha’s contributions to UM have been immense. She is an integrated thinker and decisive leader who has helped transform the U.S. agency from both a business and culture perspective. I look forward to watching her take the global stage by storm and further advance women’s leadership for the industry.”

At Engine, Cacy will report to executive chairman Paul Caine.

No word yet on Cacy's replacement at UM.
