Nylas Raises $16.2 Million In Series B Funding

Nylas, a provider of an API for integrating software with email, has raised $16.2 million in Series B funding.

The financing round was led by Spark Capital with participation from Slack Ventures, Industry Ventures, ScaleUp and existing investors 8VC, Great Oaks Capital, Rubicon Venture Capital and John Chambers' personal fund.

Andrew Parker, general partner at Spark Capital, will join Nylas' board of directors. Parker spearheaded the deal.

Nylas serves such clients as Newscorp, Dialpad, Salesloft, Pipedrive, Hyundai, and Ellie Mae, handling over 100 million API requests per day, it says.

The firm hopes to grow usage by “developers building applications that integrate with inbox data,” states Gleb Polyakov, CEO of Nylas.

The API also facilitates API integration with calendar, and contacts data. And it connects applications with Gmail, Outlook, IMAP and all other major email service providers, the company says.
