The email wars are
heating up as we approach the midterm elections. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has sent out an email blast, claiming that Brett Kavanaugh should not be voted onto the Supreme Court.
“This is outrageous,” says the fund-raising email, alluding to the claim by Christine Blasey Ford that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school. “Brett
Kavanaugh was already disqualified to serve on the Supreme Court. But now we’re learning new information about a sexual assault allegation.”
The letter was reported on by the
Boston Herald, which opined that to “exploit an allegation of sexual assault for fundraising purposes is politics at its lowest and no one goes lower than Sen. Elizabeth
Warren.”
According to the Herald, the email continues: “If we all get in this fight right now, from Boston and across the country – then we’ve got a fighting
chance at stopping the Republicans and Kavanaugh in their tracks.”
The email links to an online petition and features a feature “Donate Now” button.
