AT&T has created a pricing plan for owners of the classic Airstream Silver Bullet to run with unlimited data for a year.
An AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot, available for 2019 models of Airstream Classic travel trailers, will cost $360 for a year of unlimited data, according to AT&T.
Smartphones and tablets can be connected to the Airstream hotspot to remotely monitor and control temperature, lighting, propane tanks, battery power, water levels, awnings, ventilation and other connected features via the Smart Control mobile app.
"Digital technology has improved almost every aspect of our lives," stated Airstream president and CEO Bob Wheeler. "Shouldn't it make camping better, too? We think so.”
Up to 10 smartphones, tablets and smart TVs can be linked to Airstream’s Wi-Fi. A GPS locator also can guide owners back to their Airstream from an outdoor adventure.
Is this for the the same RV-ers that have flip phones, no e-mail address and have to be at
Bob Evan's restaurant before 4:30 for the earlybird specials ???? Jus' askin'.
Perhaps, Mark, but now those phones will be centrally connected via the RV.
