Turner has started Turner Ignite Studios, a creative studio for advertisers to develop original content, for its Adult Swim, TBS, TNT and truTV network brands.
The unit is part of the Turner Ignite, Turner Advertising Sales content and data division.
Turner Ignite Studios will work on comedy, drama, scripted and unscripted, live action and animation branded content. It will be built as “social-first” and “client-first.”
The studio will work closely with the company’s branded content sellers and Turner networks.
Greg T. Gordon, who joined the company this month, will be the division’s vice president-creative director. He was head of video operations at Vox Media, the company’s entertainment studio. He also worked on Vox Media’s brand studio, Vox Creative.
He reports to Jennifer Cohen, senior vice president, content partnerships, Turner Ignite, who stated "premium branded content drives greater client results than traditional commercials."
Turner Ignite Studios is the third branded-content unit at Turner, joining Courageous Studios for CNN and Turner Ignite Sport.
