D&G Expands Kia Creative Team

David&Goliath is hiring three senior agency veterans to round out the agency's Kia Motors creative team.

Mark Koelfgen replaces executive creative director Gustavo Sakis but with the dual title of ECD/copywriter. He’ll oversee creative on Kia Motors. His career accolades at Ogilvy New York include writing the most-viewed IBM commercial ever (for the Oscars telecast) starring Carrie Fisher as well as writing Ford's "Unstuck" Super Bowl commercial that was ranked #9 by USA Today’s Super Bowl Ad Meter.

Marc Schwarzberg, ex-Crispin Porter + Bogusky, joins as executive creative director and the agency's first-ever head of art to lead design and product innovation for Kia as well as assist with new business efforts and work with the agency’s nonprofit organization, Today I’m Brave. The newly added art/design role is a reflection of Kia's growing needs in a highly competitive category.

Schwarzberg will also maintain his side gig as freelance creative artistic director at Francis Ford Coppola Presents, the umbrella entity for all of Coppola’s business ventures including design, product innovation, wineries, resorts, cafes, posters and printing for his films and projects.
