Bhavana Smith, a senior executive at the consultancy Accenture has joined MediaCom USA as Chief Client Officer. She reports to MediaCom USA CEO, Sasha Savic.
Smith joins MediaCom after 6 ½ years at the consultancy where in her role as the global lead of client development, she was responsible for evaluating agency performance and optimizing clients’ media spend and agency model, team structure, contract, KPIs and compensation. Her work was designed to increase trust and transparency in the client-agency relationship.
In her new role at MediaCom, she will lead all client account teams, with a focus on delivering meaningful results and ensuring client satisfaction with both the work and agency relationship. She will continue to push the agenda of transparency and accountability, as well as identify new sources of revenue and growth.
Smith replaces Tom Cijffers who, after serving 3 years in the role, relocated his family back to the UK.
The agency has been on a roll in the new business area in recent months winning big pieces of business in the U.S. from clients including adidas, Reebok, Mars, Hilton and Ally.
