Publicis Groupe Elevates Zenith's Vittorio Bonori To Global CEO Italy

Publicis Groupe is promoting Vittorio Bonori to CEO Publicis Groupe Italy, replacing Emanuele Saffirio, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Bonori has spent the majority of his career at the holding company, most recently as global brand president at media agency Zenith. Previously, he served as CEO of ZenithOptimedia Italy, South Mediterranean, Middle East & Africa.

Publicis Group plans to announce his successor in the coming weeks.

Bnori’s new responsibilities will include oversight of all Publicis Groupe operations in Italy, across Publicis Communications, Publicis Media and Publicis.Sapient, reporting to Gerry Boyle, CEO, Publicis Media EMEA & APAC, who also serves in a Publicis Groupe Southern Europe leadership role.

In addition, Bonori will continue to serve on the Publicis Media executive leadership team led by Steve King, CEO, Publicis Media.

The leadership change has been in the works for a while. Saffirio had indicated "his wishes to move on to a new challenge" that gave Publicis the time to identify the right successor. He plans to stay on through a transition period, says Boyle. "We warmly wish him every success in his future endeavors,” he adds.

“As for Vittorio, he is a proven leader and innovator, committed to his clients and teams. He will be an exceptional, transformational partner for our clients and talent as we continue to unlock the Power of One.”
