Media Auditor MMI Diversifies, Acquires Sponsorship Science

Media Management Inc., a leading auditor of media buys for big marketers, has diversified into sponsorships with the acquisition of Sponsorship Science.

Terms of the deal were not be disclosed, but the staff of Chesterfield, Missouri-based Sponsorship Science will be integrated into MMI’s St. Louis office.

Founded in 2006, Sponsorship Science provides end-to-end accountability audits covering all facts of marketing sponsorships.

As part of the announcement, MMI cited a July 2017 survey by the Association of National Advertisers and the Marketing Accountability Standards Board, which found only 37% of respondents had “a standardized process” for measuring the return on their sponsorships.
