The M&M’s brand has released a 15-second teaser video for its Super Bowl LIII spot, revealing that the ad features actor Christina Applegate.

Applegate is shown (below) growing increasingly frustrated about being locked out of her car in a grocery-store parking lot, to the point where she kicks the vehicle.

While they’re not shown in the teaser, there are hints that M&M’s animated “spokescandies” are behind the mischief: Applegate repeatedly demands that whoever is in the car unlock it, and in the teaser’s release, Brand Director Allison Miazga-Bedrick notes that Applegate is “quite the match to the over-the-top personalities of our spokescandies.” 

The Mars brand’s 30-second Super Bowl ad, from BBDO New York, is set to air during the first commercial break following the kickoff.
