Pepsi's 2019 UEFA Campaign Features Messi, Salah

Pepsi has launched its global UEFA Champions League football sponsorship campaign for 2019, under its recently debuted international marketing platform, “Pepsi, For the Love It.”

The creative features league stars Leo Messi and Mohamed Salah — the former a four-time championship winner and the latter last season’s finalist. 

In the 30-second anthem ad (below), “Last Can Standing,” the two players compete for the only can of Pepsi left in a vending machine in a remote gas station, showing off their impressive skills in the process.

The sponsorship campaign’s ads and marketing content (including behind-the-scenes footage of the two players), packaging, out-of-home and in-store merchandising for Pepsi and Pepsi Black/Pepsi Max will be implemented in 65 countries throughout the UEFA season, according to PepsiCo.
