Weather Channel's Local Now Partners With Thrillist For Lifestyle Content

Weather Channel-owned OTT platform Local Now announced a new partnership with Thrillist this week.

The addition of Thrillist to its stable of content partners, which also includes The Associated Press, Curbed, Yelp and SportRadar, will arm Local Now with a new supply of lifestyle content. Thrillist becomes its exclusive provider of food and beverage videos.

Thrillist will also offer recommendations for the best places to eat and drink in local U.S markets.

Local Now delivers a wide range of content across current events, weather, lifestyle, sports, business and traffic to hundreds of markets across the U.S.

The new partnership follows the launch of two video series and an upgraded user experience introduced by Local Now last fall.

In November, the platform upgraded its platform across 25 of its U.S. markets in an effort to offer more sophisticated and localized content and exclusive segments. The “Body & Mind” and Mom Life”  shows also appears on the platform.
