DDB New York Names New President

Omnicom is adding more responsibilities to Audrey Melofchik's remit by appointing her President DDB New York in addition to her current role overseeing Velocity OMC, Omnicom’s dedicated Johnson & Johnson agency. She replaces 20-year agency veteran Chris Brown who announced he was leaving the agency in October.

In her new role as dual President, she will have the same role and responsibilities at both agencies, reporting directly to Paul Gunning, President and COO of DDB U.S.

"When the opportunity to have Audrey lead DDB New York and become part of the U.S. leadership team presented itself, it was an easy decision to ask her to come on board. Audrey’s leadership style, strategic concern for her team and clients, and her proven experience building an environment where creativity thrives and results in effective work make her the perfect leader for the New York office,” said Gunning.

Gunning is swiftly remaking the agency under his leadership since he was upped from DDB Chicago CEO to U.S. president and COO in summer 2018. Since then, he has promoted Jamie McGarry to EVP, Director of Business Development and named John McCarthy President of DDB’s San Francisco office. DDB’s Chicago office recently won the U.S. Army contract.
