The Isaacson Half Of Walton Isaacson Is Leaving The Agency

Walton Isaacson Co-CEO Cory Isaacson is departing the agency he co-founded 14 years ago with Aaron Walton and NBA great Earvin “Magic” Johnson to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors outside the agency business.

Walton, who has shared the Co-CEO title with Isaacson will become the agency’s sole CEO.  While he is leaving, Isaacson will assume the title of founder emeritus.

Isaacson said, “WI has been an amazing journey and the honor of my career to help build with Aaron. I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished over the last 14 years. I’ve had the great fortune to work with iconic brands at the agency.”

He added that he intends to “delve deeper into the world of innovation and incubation within CPG, technology and other growth industries.”

Perhaps his best known product development venture to date is high-end tequila brand Avion which he co-founded in 2009 and which French spirits giant Pernod Ricard bought a big stake in 2014.
