Palette Software is partnering with CloudTrade Networks to process supplier-generated email invoices.

CloudTrade digitizes emailed invoices and Palette uses the data for invoice processing, mobile approval workflows and the automated matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and contract data, the company says.

CloudTrade converts emailed invoices in PDF, XML, EDI, or other electronic formats into the format required by the client’s ERP. This requires full data accuracy at the header and line level, the firm says.

The buyer receives a validated data stream with the original invoice for automated delivery to Palette's invoice processing module, the company adds.

The objective is to relieve firms of “labor intensive and error prone re-keying of invoice data,” states Roger Hatfield, VP of CloudTrade North America.

"Preparing supplier invoices for the ERP is a major pain point for many companies," states Michael Cichy, Palette Software. 

He adds that email invoices “are the most common form of invoice format used today.” The companies have been working together since 2018 to devise a combined solution.

CloudTrade states that its service is free to the supplier.
