Nick Law Reportedly Leaving Publicis Groupe

Nick Law, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe and President Publicis Communications is leaving for a position at Apple according to multiple press reports.

Law was with the Groupe less than two years, having joined early in 2018 after 17 years with R/GA where he rose to Global Chief Creative Officer.

Word of Law’s departure, first disclosed by Ad Age, comes just after the Cannes Lions festival where Law was a presenter and this year served as chairman of the Cannes Lions School. He has served multiple times as a Lion juror and jury president.

At Cannes he spoke about Adland’s ongoing transformation and told MediaPost that “the reality is that in a world where the product of creativity needs to change dramatically — keep up with changing media, evolve at the speed of culture, and have any impact whatsoever — it’s the creatives who need to take the lead in designing the companies we work for.”

It was not immediately clear what position Law is taking at Apple where another top industry creative-Grey veteran Tor Myhren—joined in 2015 as vice president marketing.
