WPP has been in the news lately more for selling off assets (Kantar and Chime) than buying them.
But the holding company still has an M&A budget as it demonstrated on the Fourth of July.
While Americans were busy picnicking and watching fireworks, WPP was signing off on the acquisition of a majority stake in Italian technology-driven creative agency, AQuest.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed for the 70-person shop, which has offices in Milan and Verona.
AQuest’s expertise includes UX and UI design, production, consumer experience and activations.
Clients include Gucci, Bulgari, Mercedes, Poliform and Smeg.
