Litmus Adds Cloud Storage, Privacy Features To Email Platform

Litmus, an email marketing and analytics firm, has added several new features to its email platform, including enhanced storage, privacy and tracking capabilities.

For one, Litmus users can now import their HTML files from cloud file storage solutions such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive, the company says.

This function allows users to avoid copy-and-paste errors while streamlining workflow, the company says. In addition, it ensures that clients are working in the most recent files.

New privacy improvements assist users in protecting personally identifiable information (PII). This capability disables email fields that collect PII and replaces them with tracking codes for every email, in addition to campaign time frames and expiration dates.

This capability also users to track email metrics at the subscriber level, Litmus says.

Overall, the goal is to help users “efficiently design and test their email campaigns, and to gather critical insights from post-send analytics," states Richard Yu, senior vice president of product, Litmus.

For its part, Dropbox seeks to give “everyone a place to get work done," states Abhishek Lahoti, business development executive at Dropbox.

Earlier this month, Litmus added new accessibility testing features to its platform that will help brands determine whether their emails can be read by all. The purpose is to make email more visible to consumers, particularly the visibly impaired.
