The BBC is recording voices of its staff around the country to build an Alexa rival that is better at understanding British regional accents, "The Guardian" reveals. The final product will be
incorporated within BBC iPlayer and BBC websites so people can use their voice to search for programmes and hopefully, stand a better chance of being understood.
