Visit Seattle is showcasing its popularity among glass artists as part of the city's ongoing tourism campaign.
The organization claims there are more master glass artists in Seattle than anywhere else in North America. Globally, the city is second only to Murano, Italy.
The "State of Glass" content, developed with agency PB&, explores reasons why the Northwest and Seattle, in particular, are home to these glassblowers.
This messaging is timed to coincide with the upcoming “Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience,” held October 17-20, to bring together more than 50 art organizations and artists to host events throughout the region.
The first episode shares the creative journey of contemporary glass artist Debora Moore. Other shows will focus on a Native American artist and examining the thriving category of neon art.
