Wunderman Thompson Taps Romano For Minneapolis Role

Wunderman Thompson is appointing Anthony Romano as president, Minneapolis, a new role in which he will oversee both the Wunderman Thompson and Mirum offices in the market. Combined, the agencies have a staff of over 200. 

Romano will report Ian Sohn, CEO, Wunderman Thompson Central.

This role serves as a homecoming for Romano who will relocate from New York City, where he previously served as CEO BBH New York.   

Earlier in his career, he spent eight years working in the Minneapolis area, including a stint at Carmichael Lynch.  "To return to the city I love, where I started my agency career, and to do so with an agency I’ve always admired for its ability to innovate at the intersection of data, technology and creativity, is the perfect next chapter,” Romano stated.   

Prior to BBH Romano served as U.S. head of client services at R/GA. Earlier he served as global head of agency growth at AOL.
