Live-streaming service Sling
TV can now be watched on Google’s Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max smart-display devices.
Sling TV was already available on Android TV and supported Chromecast-enabled devices, but adding
the two Google devices means that Sling users can for the first time use voice commands to control programming.
Users can now also use any smart speaker or mobile device to cast the
Sling service to any Chromecast-connected device in various locations throughout the home, according to the company.
Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max displays — which have 7” and
10” screens, respectively (shown) — enable users to get help from Google Assistant and control smart devices, among other functions.
The devices’ screens are "the
perfect size to watch your favorite content in any room,” declares Sling TV’s staff-written blog.
Sling TV — which costs $25 per month, versus YouTube’s $50 —is also available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV devices, LG AirTV, smart TVs, and Xbox One.
The service is
offering a three-day free trial to new subscribers who sign up through the Google Home app.
