Canada's BAM Expands To U.S., Taps GroupM's Meyers To Run It

Montreal-based digital marketing agency BAM Strategy is launching its first U.S. office, in New York, and has appointed former GroupM executive Pete Meyers, as president of U.S. operations.

Meyers is tasked with expanding BAM’s current client footprint in the U.S., building new client relationships with U.S.-based brands, and developing new partnerships with agencies where BAM can provide complementary digital marketing services.

The agency was founded in 1996 and offers CRM, media and creative services. Current clients include PepsiCo, Reckitt Benckiser, Sanofi and ADT.

“BAM had its best ever year in 2019 and a big reason is due to a rapid increase in client demand for our services in the U.S.,” stated Lonn Shulkin, President of BAM. “Pete’s agency background and successful track record of helping brands thrive in this digital era will bring tremendous strategic value to our clients and position us well in 2020 and beyond.”

Prior to joining BAM, Meyers served as executive director of GroupM’s Neo Media World and held senior positions at Ogilvy and Wieden + Kennedy.

BAM’s New York office is located in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.
