Agencies Wavemaker and Connelly Partners are
each capitalizing on New Year’s resolution season by encouraging their employees to embrace new internal company initiatives. Connelly’s goal is to foster positivity while Wavemaker is
striving for growth.
Connelly Partners’ “What’s Your 20/20” asks its staff for ideas for practicing 20 hours of “good” over the coming 12 months in order to
“create a wave of positivity” as culture enters the next decade.
The goal was to have a variety of responses from people that spanned from funny to serious. . Responses
included earmarking time for meditation or getting prepped in the morning to embracing self-doubt as tools in the creative process. Others suggested helping family members and feeding the hungry.
Select employees were recruited ahead of the campaign’s launch to serve as “influencers” as to how they would practice 20 hours of good in the next year. Here is a link to a video
that further illustrates the initiative.

Meanwhile, Wavemaker is celebrating the group’s second anniversary
by asking its 7,600+ staff to improve the agency with ideas to drive growth for the agency and its clients. “The Keep Growing Challenge” invites teams to submit an idea on January 9 that
will have a tangible effect on Wavemaker’s business in a way that works across markets.
The competition will be winnowed down to regional winners. Wavemaker’s Global Executive
Committee will then select the global winner.
