The annual average salary of workers involved in the Internet of Things is $112,000, according to a new survey conducted by IoT World Today.

By title, the highest salary was for president ($164,000), followed by vice president and senior vice president ($138,000), director ($134,000), owner ($113,000), manager and supervisor ($98,000) and individual contributor ($92,000).

The salaries exclude any bonuses, according to the survey of workers who have been employed for at least the last 12 months.

By industry, the largest bonuses were in finance ($26,000), followed by utilities ($25,000), manufacturing ($23,000) and information technology ($17,000).

By job role, chief information officers, chief digital officers and chief innovation officers ranked with the highest gross annual salary ($142,000), followed by CEO or president ($133,000) and consulting ($119,000).

By company size, large companies led salary growth (78%), followed by midsize companies (70%) and small companies (49%).
