Online travel agency Orbitz has named Laundry Service as its Creative Agency of Record after a competitive review. Havas previously handled the account but did not participate in the review.
Laundry Service is tasked with supporting the client’s efforts to differentiate its value in the world of travel, with a particular focus on the brand’s rewards program. The relationship extends across the full range of the brand’s integrated marketing efforts.
“Laundry Service impressed us with their ability to deliver digital-first thinking that breaks through the clutter and clearly articulates our value proposition to customers,” said Carey Malloy, Director of Brand Marketing, Orbitz.
The brand’s 2020 campaign will begin rolling out in March, and will include an emphasis on digital creative including branded content, digital advertising and social media. The work will focus on communicating the brand’s loyalty program, Orbitz Rewards.
Last year, with a campaign developed by Havas Chicago, Orbitz returned to TV advertising after a nearly10-year hiatus.
For the first nine months of 2019 Orbitz spent $60 million on ads versus $44 million for all of 2018, according to Kantar Media.
