4As Postpones A Second Conference: Decisions 2020

The 4As has postponed its Decisions 2020 conference until an undisclosed date in early 2021. It’s the second conference the ad agency trade organization postponed this week due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Earlier it postponed its Management Practitioners Forum set for Chicago later this month until the fall.

The 4As said it would communicate new event dates shortly. Decisions 2020 had originally been scheduled for April 20-21.

Today’s decision followed a move earlier in the day by ANA to cancel its annual media conference which had been scheduled for Miami at the end of this month. Covid was also cited as the reason.

The moves come at a time of heightened travel restrictions throughout the business world both domestically and internationally and it’s likely that the conferences would have had drastically reduced attendance.

In fact the 4As itself has placed a ban on business travel and is requiring employees to work remotely following any personal travel.

Travel aside the group said that all employees will begin working remotely until further notice, although offices will remain open for those who need to use them.

The group has also posted an array Covid-related content on its site to help guide member business decisions during the crisis.
