ANA 'Suspends' Brand Activation Conference

The ANA has canceled or delayed two more national conferences that had been set for April: the Email Evolution Conference and the Brand Activation Marketing conference. The email event has been cancelled outright while the Brand Activation show has been “suspended,” as the organization ponders a possible rescheduling of the event.

Also canceled is the ANA Nonprofit Federation Leadership Summit. The moves followed the cancellation earlier this month of the ANA Media Conference, which had been scheduled for later this month.,

Other events have been shifted to a digital format as have many training sessions and committee meetings. The group is also considering combining some events.

In a note on the organization’s website, CEO Bob Liodice stated that the pandemic will affect “hundreds of events we hold throughout the year.” The group, he added is “prepared to make further difficult decisions in the days and weeks ahead, given the increasingly unpredictable nature of the coronavirus. We do not take these matters lightly, as the implications are wide-ranging.”
