Hyundai Donates $2 Million For COVID-19 Testing

Hyundai Motor America’s nonprofit arm, Hyundai Hope On Wheels, is donating $2 million for COVID-19 drive-through testing centers in partnership with 10 children's hospitals across the nation.

Three children's hospitals are the first to each receive a $200,000 donation to support their testing centers: CHOC Children's in Orange, California., UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, and Children's National Hospital  in Washington, D.C.

The automaker also is publicizing the donation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Hyundai Hope On Wheels has supported the health and well-being of children with cancer since 1998.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a particular threat to children with cancer, many of whom have compromised immune systems.

Hyundai is launching a video from Circle One Productions communicating how the challenges of this time can be eased by everyone doing their part to obey restrictions.

The automaker pulled its spring sales event creative creative last week and replaced it with a spot from AOR Innocean that explains the relief it is offering current and prospective customers via the Hyundai Assurance job loss protection program, which is airing in national and local broadcast, as well as digital and social channels, says Hyundai CMO Angela Zepeda.
