Blue State Taps Former Warren Strategist

Now that Elizabeth Warren has pulled out of the presidential race, one of her chief strategists Camonghne Felix is jumping to AdLand as vice president strategic communications for WPP’s Blue State, a purpose-driven creative shop.

Based in the agency’s DC office, she will help to lead the strategic communications needs of the agency’s clients.

Felix brings a decade of experience overseeing communications for progressive political candidates.  Before joining the Warren team, she was communications director for the Amara Enyia mayoral campaign in Chicago. Felix was the first black female speechwriter for a sitting New York State governor, Governor Andrew Cuomo.

“Camonghne was an exceptional leader on the Warren campaign and we’re excited that she will bring expertise, energy and tenacity to our work with progressive causes and organizations,” said Joe Rospars, founder/CEO, Blue State. “With her campaign experience, passion for cause-based communications, and unique writing abilities, she’s a perfect fit for the Blue State team.”
